hey dears,

dont be demoralised after what happened (be it running notes, solos, etc.) on friday night.
the more you all should take things positive! it shows that you guys really need to take sectionals and band practice seriously. it also shows that you all need more practice.

i noticed that actually some of you can play, but lack of confidence. confidence is that thing you need to succeed in not only the music environment, but everywhere! i understand how you all feel when you have solos or even hell load of running notes. be brave and face all of them! practice slowly. sure from impossible to possible. you need to believe in yourself.

and also remember to always watch the conductor. you will never know when he wants to slow down or increase speed. if possible, memorise ALL your scores (i think you all have to do so anyway) so you all can look at the conductor at all times. you all have pencils on every stand too. make full use of it. take note of those parts you need to work on and even those small little things that the conductor said. the pencil is there for you to take down notes so that you will remember.

work hard yah? i believe you guys can do it! i did see some improvements that day when i when back to school. but dont be complacent, you should work even harder. put in effort! we, the alumni, are always here supporting you all! we believe in you all! if there's anything, feel free to just contact us!
